music for your wedding

One of Karen's specialties is compiling and performing custom music for weddings. She is a regular at the Little Chapel in the Woods on the Texas Woman's University campus and can help make your wedding at this location a seamless event. This chapel is a lovely setting for your special day. It was designed by O'Neil Ford and Arch Swank and built in 1939. It has been voted as one of the 20 most architecturally significant buildings in Texas and is a Texas Historical landmark. The romance of this special location (or your selected wedding location) is complimented by Karen's beautiful music and voice.
Wedding music includes:
- 15 minutes of organ or piano music before ceremony
- music for the seating of the mothers
- music for the attendants' procession
- bride's processional music
- special solo before or during ceremony (optional)
- music for lighting of the unity candle
- recessional music as wedding party exits chapel
- music as guests exit chapel

Rates
Organ, piano, and vocals are available
$300 for wedding and rehearsal
$450 for wedding, rehearsal, and reception (up to 2 hours)
$200 for reception only (up to 2 hours)
A deposit of $100 will be made at the time of booking. The balance will be due at the rehearsal.

corporate events

Karen can provide a relaxing or lively atmosphere for your corporate events: quiet, tasteful piano music for a reception or dinner, or an entertaining program (15 - 45 minutes) to uplift and energize your participants. It's a delight when Karen performs familiar music from her CDs and "works the crowd," taking her cordless microphone into the audience and inviting the members to sing with her.

Karen likes to get the guests involved -- she shares her microphone and lets everyone be a star at the party. She has performed for 50th anniversary parties, holiday parties, birthday parties, Red Hat society parties and regional High Tea, and many other special occasions. Music makes the party!

retirement communities

Karen brings out the best in senior citizens -- she loves the old songs and invites the audience to join in the spotlight. Singalongs are a specialty -- she can even bring along rhythm instruments to pass out among the audience to make sure everyone has the chance to participate. Karen knows many Broadway tunes and likes to perk listeners' ears up with her imitations of Ethel Merman and other stars of yesteryear. She is a "regular" at several retirement communities in Denton and Dallas.
